I'm ready to crawl!

And I'm up! I'm really really up! I just figured this out a couple weeks ago! This is so cool, but why can't I see anyone???

Oh yeah, that's better, now I can see what I'm going to dive for! I want to be in this position all day long. I pull all fours up, then down, then up, then down again... I could do this all day. So, when mom lays me down for my nap, I think this is the best time to practice. At gamma's, I can really get my crib rocking! I have great rhythm, and if you try to sneak a peak, I'll be watching! Now, I haven't done any actual crawling yet, just dive and swim crawl after I'm up, but my next goal is to truly crawl by Valentine's Day. I have a couple weeks so we'll see what I have time for. Mom and dad want me to quit waking up at night (they say I've been keeping them awake at night again), but when else am I suppose to practice???

So tired! I worked out hard all day so when dad got home, I just wanted to cuddle up for some sleepy...

Check this out! My gampa made this contraption just for me! He did all the designing and its perfect! The foam is the best part. Anyway, they just strap me in this and I can walk whereever I want to go. I'm not that keen on the whole thing yet but every day I warm up to it a little. Why should I walk by myself when they can just carry me? But, when I want to get my toys, or the dog, or the bag that I'm not suppose to grab, this thing is great!

Learning to "Swim Crawl"

Okay, here I go!!! My mommy said that the goal was for me to crawl by Christmas --- well, I had bigger plans! I decided that typical 4-point crawling is too barbaric so I went for my own style. I like to call it my "swim crawl". I get on my side and throw myself forward using the opposite arm and leg to push with. And I did this two days before Christmas - I beat my goal!!! I also did it the day before my gamma and gampa got back from their cruise - that should teach them for leaving me cause you never know what I might learn to do! Well, here are a few pics of my progression. I now swim crawl like a champ and as of last week, I can crawl on top of couch cushions to get my favorite toys. Mom and dad are sooo proud of me!!!

Almost there!!!
And got it!

This is me figuring out the 4-point stance. I like to keep my legs froggy in the beginning, but keep reading because it gets exciting...

Swimming time!

I love these steps! I've never paid much attention to them before but for the last couple weeks, these are the best thing! I love to lay on the top step, blow bubbles in the water, and twist to stand up and lick the rail! You can notice my bottled water next to the pool, but why would I drink from that when I have this entire pool to drink from?!

Merry Christmas!

Boom boom boom boom boom... Jaws! I'm hilarious!
Checking out Santa... his beard is so interesting! I managed to take a few strands with me on the way out!

I went to see the lights one more time with my buddies Brady and Haley! Brady had a sucker that Haley wanted so once I saw this, I decided I wanted it too! Everyone was trying to get us to look at the camera at the same time, but come on, really??? No thanks. You're going to have to take what you can get.
Jackpot - check out my cool new toy that Santa brought me! It's perfect for me to be miss little independent. I love to scoot it along the floor and get close to you!

Rock is my protector... such a good boy! I just need 10 minutes, just 10, and I'll be good to go!

I'm being silly before church - I looked so cute in my new outfit gamma gave me! She couldn't wait until Christmas to give it to me... I can't say that I blame her! This is my new baby. I like to give her kisses and lick her head - mom gets excited about the kisses but not so much on the licking...
Yum!!! Dinner was awesome! And yes, some of it did get into my mouth, Rock's mouth, the rug, the sides of my chair, and if you look real hard, on the sides of the kitchen walls. I'm doing a great job feeding myself, but I guess you could say I tried putting it in a lot of places!

I just wanted to show off on how I can sit here all by myself, reach over to get my toys, get back up, and never skip a beat! I'm waiting for my gamma and gampa to get back from cruising - I miss them terribly. I guess I'll sit here patiently until they get back... or maybe I can go find something to get into... : )

My new Auntie M!

I'm so crazy! I discovered the "Wee" game in the parking lot on the way home from Houston, and it is such fun! I fly back and forth between them and quickly turn around for more! I went to visit my Uncle Tadd and Aunt Maggie and had such a great time! I now have the coolest Auntie M! I visited them right after mom and dad found out I was an angel, and it was great to go back and see them again. They got me this cool poodle blanket and pillow, and I love to find the tail. After Little Rock, I went for my rundown at Baylor Medical Center in Houston. I was so tired during the visit, but I still managed to show off my angel charm. Mom and dad got a lot of info from my cool docs, and frankly, I'm a little upset they figured out some of my secrets. It seems like my night-time wakings are going to be on their way out since they started me on a med for my nighttime seizures. I didn't enjoy waking up to them, but I'm going to miss my dad's company at 3am. Off to find some other reason to disturb our slumber...

My daddy spent the whole Sunday making me this scooter. By the end, it had wings and 8 wheels and seemingly proofed for my insistent nosedives. They keep trying to find ways to help me crawl... will someone please tell them I have no desire to put my pretty little fingers on the ground?!
